are these some of the tester eggs from the birds left from the carnation comb culling?

Oh...morning everyone by the way! I'll be in and out alot today warming up...Its my last day of show prep before they go to the show coops tonight...luckily I live about 10 min away...so I'll go after I've gotten everyone shut up here for the night and etc. I've got a milk heater running in the garage with a mini show coop row of my own. The birds I got done yesterday are talking and happy as clams it sounds. They are adjusting to the pens really well...just hope they are as good with the judges.

Good luck! But most of all have fun!

Yes there are some eggs in there that are testers for the carnation comb and are from Gnarles, the others are some of Lil' Bill's first eggies.

Thanks! Should I do anything else to get ready for winter? Remember I am new and over my head....

With our winter you look to be in good shape just be sure you do not have drafts on the roosts, the comment about feed sacks was a good one if you use plastic be sure you don't seal up too tight. Its not the cold that causes problems its the humitity and drafts.

I have a vent on the underside of the front that will be covered with hardware cloth for ventilation so that should be good. I feel better now.

If it gets really cold I will close the door and window to keep even more wind out.

Thanks!

Thanks!! I plan to ladies! I've already had to scratch three for sure from molting so that leaves 7 left...I'm happy with that. I have 3 more to wash up then I should be on to the rest of the primping. I just wish I would have had more time this week to do some of this in advance, but I am grateful they gave me the last day and a half off of work for prepping birds, they are really good to me at my new job!
