Yep, that's an egg alright!

It seemed that my marans eggs got a little darker after the birds had layed for a couple of weeks. Time will tell with yours.
Congradulations!

Bummer about your kids being down. Breaks my heart when they catch a bug. Hope they feel better soon. Dont forget the Vit C, Echinachea and lots of CHICKEN SOUP (made from whole chicken).

Eggs are looking about 50% in the hovabator - which DOES please mean given their travels and circumstances. Things are growing.

Just got a new Brinsea Octagon 20 with humidity pump because I'm hoping for a better hatch. (I drowned a good number in my hovabator last hatch. Would like to avoid that this time if at all possible!!!!) But I can't seem to get the humidity pump working properly.

University courses may sooth my mind but they don't necessarily mean I have a brain!!!!

I've read and re-read instructions and replaced all the hoses but I can't seem to get the humidity above 34% which means water isn't reaching the incubator ....

I've been doing dry hatching the last couple years and I swear by it! It up'd my hatch rate to 90% from 70% on day 18 I make sure humidity is above 60%

Just goes to prove that university degrees mean NOTHING! At least, in my case. Paperwork with the Octagon 20 doesn't say my humidity pump is a gravity feed but I put it on the shelf above the incubator just for grins because of what you said and guess what????? Humidity came right up! (Who was it that said they were about to sign up for some science courses??? Maybe a bit overdue .... )

If humidity is still holding steady in the morning - eggs may be moved ....

sweet! I was hoping it would be something simple like that so it would be easy enough to jog a new thought on what to do!! Yay! I love those kind of "ah ha" moments...even if I feel like a dummy after I realize what I did haha. I really hope it helps so you can get those eggies over there.
