Did someone want to see more pictures? I harass people all the time forcing them to look at chick pictures. So anyway, here are a few more. I know it's not 100%, but the sex of the black copper chicks seems pretty obvious to me:

Black pullets

Cockerel & blue chick (pullet?? Maybe, I hope!)

And the whole cute family soon after the chicks hatched

Talk about a very diversy family dynamic. Lets see we have a black Silkie roo (Dad), a tan Cochin hen (Mom), caring for multi-colored French Marans (Kiddos). LOL.... I love it! Its very 22th century of you!

Welcome to the forum.

haha I don't know whether it is all the speed reading I did in grad school or what....its great, but does have some drawbacks at times. For instance...I ready your comment to Mel as "Happy FIRST birthday dude!" And immediately I

I will second that the lack of permission is due to it not being tested on birds and is therefore an "off label" use.
The implication is that if there is a ZERO MILK WITHDRAWAL time then there would be a ZERO EGG WITHDRAWAL TIME.

Valbrazen has a withdrawal time .. . . I was told to wait a month before collecting eggs for hatching and 14 days before eating.
I googled Valbrazen and it is a HUMAN WORMER..... I goggled the typical human dosage and it is considerably higher than the amount the
birds are being dosed with. I have not tossed all my eggs because we are not sensitive to medicines. HOWEVER, I will not give any eggs
away during this time because I never know who might be sensitive.

Same thing with antibiotics... If I had to give my birds pencillian, I would eat the eggs during that time because I am NOT allergic to pencillian BUT I would NOT give any eggs away.
I also would not hatch any eggs for a while for birth defect reasons.

I too hate the idea of tossing all these EXTRA eggs that we are not able to consume during the egg withdrawal period. HOWEVER, our production has increased so much that I have to say that it is worth the tossing to get the increase in production.

I am thinking that a turd roo that could lay ( an egg) in the yard would be a turd worth keeping!
