You guys, here's 3 of our 4 Cuckoo Marans, we've got 2 girls and 2 boys, we raised them from babies. They're only 5 months old, they have the feathered legs but they're also huge. The boys are twice the size of the 2 yr old sex links and the 2 girls tower over the sex links, too. I didn't realize Marans got so big, is this is typical? They're my 1st Marans so I don't have any others to compare to. They're extremely calm and friendly, wonderful birds. The girls haven't started laying yet.

also...the boy on the left...do you think you can get a close up of his comb? I'm not sure, but its looking like he possibly has a sprig or carnation comb.

My cuckoos are the biggest girls I have, I gave a bunch away, because they all looked the same.
The rest all have the same name. Big Butt.
All mine are washed out compared to yours, that barring is nice and crisp on your birds.

I wouldn't plan on using the roo on the left if you are planning to sell eggs or chicks as breeding stock, he has a huge side sprig, if not a full carnation comb. Big no-no!
