Check this out what a crock of you know what! something wants in my coop bad! and the crazy part is about 6mls away there was a mountain lion sighting. I hate the thought of a mountain lion doing this so im going to say it was a crazy racoon.

and from the inside of the coop....

Anna, that's the work of a racoon! Or even a family of coons!! The only way to stop that, short of trapping or shooting, is to put on a metal roof! I have tin sheets on my coop roof that are nailed to plywood, the coons aren't going to tear that up any time fast. Get some traps, and bait with Marshmellows, especially if you have cats around. Coons love marshmellows, cats...not so much. Good luck girl!!

OK I have a lot of that, but not all... and no cure really.... I need a check up, I think I will go to my girl DR. She really listens to me.

Fibromyalgia is not a disease, it is a cluster of symptoms caused by something else, and is basically a name the docs gave it instead of admitting "they don't know"! Have your doc do a complete Thyroid test on you, something that is not easy to get most of them to do, because again, they don't know how to read the results! You need to ask for TSH, FREE T3, FREE T4, and Hashimoto's antibody tests. You would be really surprised at how many people suffer with thyroid disease and never get diagnosed!! You'd also be amazed at how much pain goes away with the correct levels of hormone replacement!

After I had my miscarriage about 2 years ago, they ran all kinds of test to make sure my hormones were ok and my thyroid too. Everything was normal. I really may just be getting old to early. I did injure my back years ago. My knee was a bad fall a couple of years before. The other stuff my just be from building non stop for about 3 years now. But I will get her to run all kinds of tests.

Donna,

Believe me when I say, I have heard it all before, "you are normal". The problem lies within the fact that they are (some docs) still using lab ranges that are 8 years old! They typically only test for TSH, which is what they were taught in med school when the new synthetic thyroid replacements came out. TSH is NOT a thyroid hormone, it is a Pituitary hormone that alerts the thyroid to produce more T3 and T4. They also go by what the test tells them, and never seem to consider how you feel! I knew I was NOT "normal" or "fine", and I knew it was not in my head! If you are going to an Endo, they are the worst! Try finding an old DO/GP who still prescribes Armour and talk with him/her, you'll have a much better chance of getting help. I can send you a link to a web site that has virtually saved my life! I went untreated for over 40 years...

Sending eggs out to you today Donna!!!!! Praying they make it safe and sound and that you still get some chicks to hatch, but like you said...I can always send more eggies!

Nothing at all scientific about this but I'm going to share this odd story just the same. I had major issues with feather picking last winter so I added a high protein supplement (Calf Manna) in the fall this year, just in case. Pretty much took care of the problem and, no doubt, the milder winter and more turnout time have helped this year as well. However, I had one BCM pullet that was WAY too into feather picking this year. She would leap in the air to score the feathers off the ones roosting even. Everybody else at the feeder and she's trolling for feathers. And she was teaching some of the others about her nasty habit.

I caged her within the coop and discovered at that point that she's just not that into the Calf Manna. So I started feeding her hard-boiled eggs. Half an egg a day. Decided to try letting her run amongst the flock again yesterday and so far, NO PICKING! Makes me think protein definitely IS the issue. Apparently, my big Marans ladies need a bit of a boost in the protein department.
