I had 5 out of 9 Marans eggs from Kim go in to lockdown - 2 of the pullet eggs hatched yesterday (a day early) and I have 2 more pipping right now.

I think one of the chicks could be a Blue Copper and one is Black Copper. Will try to post photos after my grandson's Easter egg hunt!

I caught a nice head shot photo of my Silver Black Birchen boy a couple days ago. I'm super egg-cited about the amount of silver that is coming in on him. No signs of yellowing or leakage....just nice clean clear silver.

That's awesome Kristen.....I'm sad that more of them didn't make it to lockdown. Shipping and handling was not as kind to them as I had hoped for. I can't wait to see them and I hope the other hatch soon!

I have 7 out at this point (1 white, 2 blue, 4 splash) and two pipped (lavender and another blue/splash). Nothing yet on the remaining 7 but we're still on day 21 here ...

Debbi~ Thanks. I think he is going on 5 months......I can't remember for sure and I have misplaced last years chicken calendar with all of my info on it. The pullet is also coloring up and is starting to get her silver now as well...though she is not coloring as fast as the male. The other Birchen pullet from that hatch is turning out to be a nice copper.

Okay remember when I was talking about the barring on my oldest Splash boy.......tell me if you all see what I see. (Sorry....best photo of him I was going to get that day....I will get more.) His saddles also have this look.
