Wow! I am glad to get a good start in marans! I still have so much to learn.

In my experience the points on the blade are not side sprigs they are just caused by over abundance of points.

I guess I may be hatching in the winter.

That is all Geebs raises.

Geebs all have white feathers at birth but go away as they get older.. No white feathers on the grown juveniles.

I don't cull early for that... I see no point in it until the bird is older... Haven't had to cull any for that problem...they are gone on all the older birds...

Yes Ruth has some also...

I have a token Bev bird but she is just to look at... She has very little other merits but the girl is a looker!!! (annebell the cannibal)

A BCM pullet 3 mos old........I do not expect her eyes to even get close to acceptable.

Thanks for posting those Pink! I like Bill's and Knarles' eyes the best. Let me know when you get tired of looking at Knarles, he needs to move to Missouri!
