Thanks Math! I just edited using my photo program whatever it is....I clicked on the paint brush tool thing and selected my font color and wrote the words, enlarged them and then saved photo as and then posted. I'm not too friendly with my computer unless it is spreadsheets and the word program. I just fiddled around with it one day, then the next day when I wanted to do it again I totally forgot how I did the first time. lol.....I had to get my 17 yr old dtr to help me out.
Yes, I can do the wing triangle....give me a minute.
...lovely boy...
Read the Blue Copper standard on the previous page though.
I'm understanding this to say the bow should be the same color as
the hackles and saddle, and not the deeper more red color that
your guy is showing and that I had believed to be correct?
"Lustrous deep coppery orange" is the language used for bow, back, hackle and saddle
and blue for shoulders. The Black Copper description has Mahagony red for shoulders
and bows to match back.
The markings on a copper blue should be the same as a black cooper. The blue replacing the black.
Bev
Thanks Bev...maybe I'm confusing shoulders and wing bows...but I'm still not clear here.
This is the wording of the Black Copper proposed color, cut and pasted from Walt's earlier post:
Wings:
Shoulders: Mahogany Red color.
Bows: Lustrous Deep Copper to match back.
Coverts: Lustrous black forming a black armband.
Primaries: Black.
Secondaries: Black, ( exposed portion forms a lustrous Black Triangular wing bay ).
and the Blue Coppers from above:
Wings: Shoulders and Frontsblue.
BowsLustrous deep coppery orange to match back.
CovertsLustrous blue.
PrimariesBlue.
SecondariesBlue, with exposed portion forming wing bay, with slight luster
The part I'm not clear on "Shoulders: Mahogany Red color." and "Bows: Lustrous Deep Copper to match back"for the Black Copper
vs. "Shoulders and Frontsblue. " and "BowsLustrous deep coppery orange to match back" for the Blue Copper...
no mention of Mahogany Red in this description.
Do I need another cup of coffee to get this ?
Hi
The stardards are being discussed and some of the wording changed so that it fits in with the wording that the APA use. The standard is as near to the French standard as we can get it but at the same time it will be worded differently. The black copper standard is the one that is being discussed at the moment and when that has been done other colors will be addressed.
