ok...here are the blue cuckoo project boys I got from Anna. They show the least amount of patterning and will be using them with my solid blue girls. I know for sure the first one is a splash, the other appears to be a blue so far.
They have fantastic leg feathering too! Excuse the photos, I took them in the wheelbarrow I was using to haul compost materials earlier. Everything else I tried they just ran, so I'll take what I can get.

I'm breeding away from cuckoo.... blues are silver based, so it is workable with patience.Those are some great feathered legs. Are you breeding to cuckoo or away from cuckoo? Are you just trying to use the silver? EXPLAIN please....

I would use them to work on a blue version of the silver marans, and use them to improve the size on my birchens for starters.Do tell!
You'll have some good quality b/b/s Marans, which will be a MAJOR milestone, but what else - ?? -
