A little cooler here today, Yay! Foxes are still terrorizing us. Got traps and a 22, still haven't been able to solve the problem. My poor chooks are stuck in their runs night and DAY. I just can't commit to a LGD. Don't want to take the plunge until I'm ready to dedicate myself to training.

Here is the Cuckoo who isn't thriving, Debbi, I don't think she's got trouble seeing. She hits the waterer spot on when she walks up to it. She does lay down when the others are eating... and she fusses ALL the time. In this picture, they are just shy of 4 weeks. They have not been out in the grass for a few days because of the heat and foxes and the others are tearing around, pecking, and investigating. She, lies down.

Had to give my baby cuckoo marans and the silver cuckoos a dose of Corid this morning too. I know that cocci is on its way with all the heat and humidity going on and one little guy looked very droopy this morning and not wanting to eat. Boy they have all grown so much!
