Slight modification (little piece of scrap 2" by 4" as a step) because Broody mama kept clearing all the shavings from in front of the dish which made it impossible for the chicks to reach the water - and I've added rocks!

Finally! After making me wait what feels like forever, my lovely blue copper girlie gave me a beautiful first egg.




here it is! Had to use the flash as it was cloudy this morning. Against the egg card its somewhere between 5 and a 6. Finally making good progress on egg color as well!

Thanks lady! I love that little lady, only she ain't little anymore. She's so solid, and I think she is still filling out, so I might have an extra large tank running around before long. I've also got some other nice girls filling out that are younger too that I need to try and get some shots of soon.

You did fine! The show is only about 60 days away now and I've been working with April in the MCCUSA club and looks we are going to be having a regional meet and an egg show! So, lots more work added on top of all the other stuff I'm doing.
