Kim, That is great that the male is out of BluecopperS. That should be a great mating. Folks should look at the black on this male so they know what black should look like on a Black and Blue Copper. Did you get a chance to look at the male in post 41983.

OMGosh Don.....I was havin' an attack waiting on pins and needles for you to answer me about this male and how I was planning to test mate him! I was sittin here thinking the worst about him and that you would suggest that maybe I was in for a world of hurt with my aformentioned plan. I have raised, bred and hatched SOOOOOoooooOOOOOOO many birds trying to get a good Black Copper male to make Blue Coppers with that came from my boy Bill, since I boneheadly and hastly put down his 1st son, a Black Copper, Junior.
Boy....looking back now, I sure jumped the gun culling that 1st gen. BC boy at what is now, in my experience, (from my personal experiences and learning all I have from folks like you and everyone else here in this very thread), that I let the axe swing way to soon.

I am so relieved to read your response...I take heed to everything you advise and everything that you suggest to help us all learn more and teach us what you have tucked away in your knoggin'. I am not saying that your word is the end-all of all end-alls and sometimes.... you know we don't necessarily agree on everything and have our own way of doing things and sometimes, it's the hard way, but I seriously appreciate your views and your willingness to share your experiences and knowledge.
