Well we finally got home from Newnan and thought that things were going to get back to normal around here. We have spent the last week without a computer. Now hopefully we can get things going again. If anyone has emailed us, please try again. None of us have died, but the computer did.

Generally, on avg. at what age do Maran pullets start to lay?

I have one from the NYDH, plus 3 eggs currently in the bator so I'm just wondering what sort of expectation I should have more or less...

6-8 Months the usual. They are not really late bloomers like Wyandottes or some other Heritage breeds.

& wow, those are really dark eggs you just posted.
The eggs I've gotten to set were choc. but not impressively _Dark_ choc. like yours.
