Me too, its eery, but they are happy little things. I do admit, I talk to the eggs in when the are in the incubator and so its funny cause when I go downstairs and say something they come running

If I didn't tell y'all Daddy is home. Still in lots of pain but can get around OK. He is using a walker to help because of the surgery on his hip. Just temporary. His meds were wearing off before we got his scrip filled and he almost got sick. Poor thing, but like he said.... he is tough old bird LOL

Hen, the color is dark for a boy.

I think it is a single barred roo.... I don't think it is a pure breed Marans... the legs look off for a Cuckoo Marans.

I got it from a local feed store. They get their chicks from Cackle I believe. I was just hoping to have a dark egg layer.
