Gads, this baffles me!

So shelleyb - you order 4 bottles of antigen with each order, then?

There's 200ml of antigen diluent shipped with each full wafer. I just use a sterile syringe to draw out 50ml of antigen to mix with my 1/4 wafer. The rest is kept in the refrigerator until the next hatch.

Wynette I just ordered Fort Dodge since it went back on the market and it was still in Wafer form.

Don, where did you order it from? I'm still concerned about removing it from the sterile bottle...no one else worries about this?

Anything that Jeffers Livestock sell I always use them because they are usually cheaper. For the Laryngo I get it from 1st State vet. supply. I have recently found the Laryngo from Smiths for about 1/2 the 1st. state cost and cheaper shipping.

Yeah, 1st State generally seems to run higher on most everything, but Peter has most everything you need, too.

Shelley..okay, so what do you put it in? I mean, if you draw it out, you'd have to put it in a sterile container...??

ETA: I'm not trying to argue, just trying to understand how you do it.

I have the company send me a sterile empty container/bottle with each order. The container/bottle is the same type of bottle that the diluent is in. I remove the top in order to get the wafer in the bottle. Then I just syringe in the diluent, shake it up, and start vaccinating. I re-sterilize the bottle after each use and before the next use.

Actually you could use a small glass for juice or water and stick it in the microwave . let it cool down and mix the vaccine and keep for no longer the two hours after mixing, some recommend no longer the one hour.

I put some eggs in the bator on the 6th, & this is my first time with Marans. The eggs r just unbelievable!!!!! My question is, am I gonna b able to candle these eggs? I didnt know because they r so dark! LOL!
