OK here are some better pics of my ebay BCM's. There are 6 birds total, 5 girls and the roo. roo same roo, different angle the 3 best looking girls together I don't know about these 2 white ones...

Honestly, this bottom picture has a face and some feathering like my SLW, and the one above it appears to have AM in it. Likely they've had some oopsies and fence jumping. They appear to be mixes. Pretty though.

Here is my new Marans chicks they hatched on June 19 .

There is 3 blue LF cochin in there too.

Splash copper Marans should have copper where a blue or black would have copper.

I don't know about these 2 white ones...

The 2 bottom ones look like Easter Eggers. The roos look like they could be EE too. My guess.... if you bought Copper marans eggs and got these birds.... NONE are really Marans.

Does anyone know if this is a normal pattern for black copper Marans? This chick looks very different from my other 4 chicks, it almost looks like it is barring.

The chicks will be 3 weeks on Thursday

That's a cuckoo, not a black copper. Cuckoos have the barred pattern.

That is not a marana...... probably a barred rock with those yellow legs.

LOL DMR! I live in Marana, Az. I realize it's a typo, but marana is Spanish for a sow with piglets!

I was just talking to desertmarcy about that chick and its lack of leg feathering.

It has some fuzz on its legs and feet, so I am pretty sure it is not a BR.

Well now I am not sure about 2 of them all the blue Marans look like this

Except this one has very little fuzz and yellow legs

My black copper Marans all look like this

Except this one, which is the same chick as previously posted

These were purchased as hatching eggs and given to me as Marans. Black Copper and Blue. Do you guys think they might be some other breed?
