I am one of the other people who posted thier rumpless black copper marans. As far as I know she is pure FBCM I bought eggs from a byc breeder and hatched her out last winter. I looked at her behind really good and she does not have a tail at all (the actual part that feathers grow out of, to clarify).

Debbi, I like kiwi, that's cute. I might use it for one of the other babies that don't have name yet lol.

Here are some pics of my BBS..someone said they wanted to see BBS marans? They are supposed to be pure bbs and I haven't seen any copper leakage from the babies of these two hens. I have a pic somewhere of the bbs older roo I have..gotta find it lol.

Two blue hens. It was really hot that day and they were freeranging so look a little mussed up and panting lol.

More recent pic of one of Coco's babies that I think will be a real pretty Roo when he grows up. He is an evil little s*** though.

Bunch of blue babies mostly Bella's the roo seem to love her the most and her eggs are super fertile lol. I need to put her with a darker blue roo with good lacing! I don't know why thier eyes look so dark in this photo..they are orange now. I need to get some more recent pics.

I was showing what it looks like to pair an Araucana with a BCM. She does have the Black Copper color though, but if you look close, she's got tufts.
