Marans Thread - breed discussion & pictures are welcome!

Math... don't blame it on your hand turning... Sometimes it is just the way it goes...You are in no way responsible for all roos.... I have had great hatches hand turning... I like the hands on approach

Jan~ Do you happen to have a photo of that little chick Golden Salmon looking chick that you hatched out recently?

Please say yes and that you haven't rehomed her yet?

Here ya go Pink.... I think the wheatons come in dark and light.. that is a wheaton trait if that is what you are looking at... maybe the wheaton thread would be help in this respect....

Those ARE AWESOME photos, thanks for posting them. How old is she now? Do you have a photo of her wings? I am specifically looking for the wing pattern.

It is from my cuckoo/gold cuckoo hatch. I think I even may have two BCM's in the mix.

Don't have em... Sorry... I did watch the little yellow ones into adulthood... they are Golden salmon... I thought they were garbage so I sent em to auction.. 2 females and one male.... I know what I got rid of now... I can reproduce it... I have access to the same genes... I believe it is a double up on the wildtype gene that produces the lighter ones and the darker ones are likely first round salmon... (still working on the understanding)... I will be reproducing this in the spring. I have a project in my head and you know me pink... I am a show me girl.. gotta see it for myself before I chime in on it 100 percent.
