Awww that's too bad Donna. I've been there a few times myself over the years. Its the worst losing a bird in any breeding program, but even worse it seems when its the male, since usually there are less of those. I hope Erik works out for you!

Me too. He is really a nice roo over all. He has his flaws but nothing I can't work with.

Thanks guys. When my other roo died I realized I NEED SOME NEW ROOS so I started growing some out, but SO FAR only one is looking like he will make the final cut of the three oldest ones. The BCM roo has too high of a tail, but nice in other ways.... I know I could mate him with lower tailed pullets but not sure I have any

The other Blue Roo I have I like him but he has loads of color on his chest, but he has not molted yet so he will stay till then... he is really pretty to look at though

I really do love the BLUES but the BLACKS are just as striking when they are the right color.
