So glad for you and your Dad! This getting older sure is not for sissies. DH had two full knee replacements last Fall three months apart. He is doing great now but boy, at the time :( It seems no matter what you do you are never quite prepared! I sure did my share of crying and telling myself that you are never given more than you can handle............

Hi, I'm going to the fair this weekend to sell a few cockerels I recently hatched but I still have one that I'm not too sure about. I have always thought cockerel but when I posted pictures on here a few weeks ago, someone was leaning toward pullet. It's comb and wattles are SLIGHTLY smaller and less red than the obvious cockerels, but they are definitely bigger and more red than the obvious pullet. Just want to be 100% sure before I get rid of it because it's the only splash. Thanks!

Not sure, every once in awhile we will get a cockeral that takes longer to develop. Hopefully someone will be able to give you a better idea.

way to go I understand the crying of relief now I hope his recovery will be smooth for you.

My hatch started at noonish today lots of pips looks like the wheatens are the first marans to pop then the blue coppers look like they are waiting for somebody in their cage to get out first they are pipped and zipping my cuckoo eggs are so much bigger I don't see as many pips but they are wiggling around. I won't be taking any out until tomorrow night I have around 70 eggs in there and ran my humidity at 35 to 40 and raised it up to 55 for the hatch..I had to use 2 trays because I have all kinds of baskets to keep them separated those take up lots of room I wouldn't minf making some dividers but mine hop like bunnies if I don't have lids on them...
