gvntofly05,
oh, those men! Tell him at least to send it in to "World's Funniest Videos" for a chance to win 10 grand! He might not think you're crazy if you won! Nor he so bad if you won either! LOL
Pink, You sound like me. I talk to all the animals here and they all know my voice. Little Pip, the lone chick in the brooder, gets the "Pip, pip, pip" call, to which she responds in the same way. I'll have to take a pic of her/him later today, she's getting big! She'll be 4 weeks tomorrow. Eggs in the bator hatch next Friday...hopefully. Sure hope more than one hatches this time! I think I would rather have none hatch, than only one. It's a lonely life for poor Pip. I'm starting to think she may be a he. Very upright posture, but then one of the pullets from the other hatch did too. Those girls are all starting to look great. Copper is coming in on all, nice & dark, and not too much. Fuglee roo has what looks to be a big hump right at the base of his neck. Don't know what it is, can't feel anything there like a growth or bone out of place, but it sure looks odd. May be some kind of internal deformity? He was the one I had to help out of his shell as he got shrink wrapped after he had zipped 3/4 of the way out, and the stupid LG had a huge drop in humidity. His coloring is starting to come in too. Very copper, and all have the green sheen to them.
Geebs, I now see what you mean about the black "traveling" in the white feathers! They all had the two white primaries, and they were all pure white the whole length of the feather. Looking at all of them today, those same feathers are now shades of gray and black! How strange that is!
