That blue wheaten boy is gorgeous!! Hmmm I have both wheatens and blues hehe. My dh will absolutely kill me if I start another project especially since I slipped a bunch more eggs in the bator last night.

So does any one else know if the blues are supposed to have slate leg coloring?
I have the 2 blues that i belive are marans but not sure becouse of the leg coloring.

Leg color for the blue coppers is correct, yes they should be this color.

There is nothing wrong with the first birds shade of blue........I also really like her type, nice U shape to the back.
Breed that lighter blue back to a BCM like geebs said and you should get some nice babies. Love the amount of copper on the last hen.

Yes, the leg coloring on the blue girls posted is correct. Looking at the pics of your birds, I'm not seeing Marans. They MAY be a cross? They look like Old English or some kind of gamebird to me. Just my opinion. Look at the combs, heads, posture, lack of feathering on the shanks, not pure Marans for sure.
