Newyorkrita~

I say pullet.

racuda~

I agree with Don and say they are both males, but before you toss in the towel, wait a while longer and watch for copper in the saddles and wing bow.

I just put by eggs in the zippered laundry bags and then put those in stackable crates.

We are now entering lock down. . . I've added water and have to now wait and see if I can get the humidity up.

Debbi, How Cool is that???? I love watching my flock. I have pulled up a lawn chair and sat and had a beer and watched their antics several times this summer.

I let my flock out to free range for an hour or so every eve before dusk. I enjoy the show and interaction as I sit in the backyard in my old rocking chair, with my glass of cabernet sauvignon. .. .

ladies you are not alone. Chicken watching and coffee or wine (depending on the time of day) is the best part of the day.
My urban/suburban friends don't understand this chicken thang until they come out and see for themselves. We will start watching the activities and I will look over to see in their eyes that they indeed have been transported to another place...and then they understand.

My husband often "comments" about how long it takes to care for the chickens. Truth is...I just get "lost" watching.

All fun and games aside, how is it going? Everything in 'batorland ok?
Hey, whenever you have time if it is possible, I would love to see how you and your DH worked out the little stackable crates. So you put them in the laundry bags and then put them in the crates? Did you line the bottom of the crates with something for slippery issues or do they stay in the bag and get the traction they need in there?

I really like the idea of the little stackable crates, I think they would work wonderful in my home'mator. Would you happen to know what the approx. size of the little laundry bags that you are using is? Are they pretty small or did you have to alter them for your needs?
Sorry if you have answered this before, knowing me, you probably did and I missed it like a goob. Thanks!
