Found this off of a website... most of you have probably read but I notice the outline of the birds... they have a seamless quality and a iniform color of the male across his back... It is a lovely sillouette...

Here it talks about the amount of red required in the chest...

Just set my pen of layers for 2011.

I have a dozen from Willhe Wonka and 2 dozen from my proven pen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... I am sooo stoked.. It took me a long time to get eggcited about hatching...I usually have a batch hatched already but... whatever.. they will be laying by fall so I am happy... I have another Bator washed and ready to set more Willhe eggs and another set of mailed eggs... Haven't gotten any of those in a while...

OH I am soooo out of the running... I just set... They won't be out until everyone else's is already... I was supposed to set them yesterday.. just because.... I always set them on Saturday night...Just a rule around here....If I set the same day always...I will never forget.

Math~ Cute story, funny little buggers sometimes aren't they? I bet your place looks fabulous with all the decorating you've been doing. I haven't done any yet. Asked DH to get my pink christmas tree (of course I have a pink tree

and old retro one from the 60's that is made out of pink tinsley type stuff) out of the upstairs of the shop along with decorations 2 weeks ago but he hasn't gotten around to it yet. I'm hoping soon, it's very unlike me to not have it up the day after Thanksgiving.

geebs~ I was looking at HSR site yesterday. Very nice webpage and very nice birds. I like LP's boy, though for my taste his shank feathering is a little too much but that is just me. I love his back and tail and his coppering. The comb is nothing to worry about IMO, but of course LP has nice birds no matter what.

Day 27 and chick #3 is here. Hatched early this morning. No other movement or pips......I think they are done. As soon as it is dry and can be moved I will get photos of them all together. This one is a lighter blue.

eta: Only one hens eggs hatched, all from one of Bill's dtr's, fortunately she is the one with feathered legs and all 3 chicks have feathered shanks!
