I think this was all your idea anyways. . .

It has rained 4 out of the last 5 days. . . .Thank God the guys at home depot were so sweet about pre-cutting the wood for me. . . . That is why I was able to put it together in the living room.

Dh has domain over the garage. It is so cluttered that I can barely walk through it

I have an outside shed that I keep all my gardening, camping, fishing stuff in. It is very organized. It stays that way because Dh is not allowed to go into it

It is a case of opposites attract for sure!

Oh gosh Lisa, it sounds like I am a mixture of you & your husband.....LOL I leave no space unused & am such a packrat but I am pretty organized in a way too. When I am in a hurry things just get set in the general vicinity & then latter I go back & reorganize.
I can't wait til the new babies hatch, yours & mine so we can try out our new brooders...........

Anybody got Marans hatching this coming weekend? My first hatch of the year will go into lockdown on Thursday night and I must say...I'm having a very hard time being patient. I can't wait to see what hatches....i keep reminding myself, 'I will be patient, I will be patient, I WILL be patient.'

I had some koi in a small pond in the yard. The chickens never went after them but the muscovies sure did. Maybe if they were dead laying in the grass or very tiny they might try to get them.

Mathace: Isn't the rain horrible here? OMG a few of my pens are complete swamps now. DH went and raked up several huge black trash cans full of leaves and dumped into each pen just to try and sop up some of the water. If this keeps up I am gonna have to get a sump pump in there. Geez, I thought sand was supposed to drain!

I have some due next week, I think! What color are you hatching? Mine are either blue coppers or blue copper/Golden Cuckoo crosses, They are under a broody though! Good luck on your hatch!

Oh, gosh, this sounds familiar. My husband's shop is such a mess. We each have our own toolbox. We are BOTH packrats, but I am an ORGANIZED packrat. I haven't figured out my husband's system yet. At one point he had lost or broken every tape measure we had, including mine, and had gone through several more that he purchased because of that. For Christmas this year I put the bug in several of the kid's ears. He got a total of 8 tape measures for Christmas. Now if he will just keep his hands off mine! (I wonder if he would mind if I used his when they are "closer"?)

I think I'll go move 10 RIR hens and see how they and the marans ladies get along!

I have nine sixteen week old BCM's. Although I have been raising chickens for years, these are the first BCM's that I have had. I got them when they were 3 days old 10/15/10. I would like some feed back on three roosters. I plan to keep two of the three. These pics are not the best the light and chickens would not cooperate. The first roo is showing the most color. I posted these on BCM thread but did not get much response. This thread seems more active. I also posted some pics of my pullets. I have grown very fond of these chickens but I am no expert. I would be grateful for any comments. Thanks.
