Hope my eggies get here today! Will know more after 8am. Sitting here this morning with the door and windows open!

A far cry from a week ago when it was minus 10! Spring is coming!

Trust me on Tuesday when I send out Enggass' eggs they are going to hear about it from me. I surely don't want them sitting in the PO over the weekend with a holiday coming up on Monday.....somebody better be delivering them to your door today.

I've been waiting for hours - - - I've got this CRAZZZY cockerel who thinks 3:00 is the right time to crow. He is RIGHT OUTSIDE MY BEDROOM WINDOW - - OMG, He is getting relocated to the back forty today!

Hi Kim,

Don't take it out on your PO, they did their required acceptance scan. That's another thing when you ship, make sure to ask the clerk or Postmaster to scan it as accepted, and watch them do it! That way, at least your butt is covered by proof you delivered it to the PO. Enggass' eggs will get there just fine, as they won't be going through the KC hub. More than likely a direct flight to NY. I'll let you know in a bit if they came in. I don't wait for them to be delivered either! I am towards the end of her route, so I go to town and pick them up myself!

The post worker did scan the boxes....all three of them while I was standing there, I watched him do it. LOL! He looked at me and said as he was reading "HATCHING EGGS" and said

Me~ "Yep....just like chicken eggs."

PostMan~ "I grew up on a farm and mamma had chickens, and you know I can remember my tiny little Italian mother saying, "the only good rooster is in a soup." "We knew there would be a couple of roosters hanging on the clothes line for dinner when we came home from school and saw mamma with the clever." "What do you do with all of your roosters?"

Me~ "I have a big clever and a very long clothes line."

I love when people share their memories of chickens. I could just see his mamma standing there with clever in hand.

Sew...just use tried and true packaging and you will be fine... Say it with me folks... Bubble wrap... make pillows and use a big enough box.. Mine always get there safe.. I send 18 at a time or less... I use a standard ship postal box... lots of bubble wrap and packing peanuts... Just take your time...

Ahhh, in a word, NO! I've known some pretty postal Fedex carriers!

I had a parcel that fell out of the back of a UPS truck going down the road! A vintage sewing machine. It's all in the way you package, no matter who you send it with. Package like you are putting the parcel in a pen of gorillas, and you won't have a damage problem!
