So far I've not had a calf in the house. The weather has been so nasty this winter ALL of the baby goats have come in at least briefly until we get them dry and warmed up. Then back out to the heated house they go.
Hubby and I had to be gone for a while yesterday and when we got home this one was laying on the ground, cold and weak. Too weak to nurse. We brought him in, fed him, warmed him and he's looking a lot better now. This one is a little boer baby. The nubians are my favorite. They are so sweet natured.
Back to marans. Any more news from Newnan? I'm really eager to hear what all happens in regards to the APA!
Congratulations Peggy. It couldn't have happened to a nicer woman. It was such a pleasure having you and your husband visit our farm and I look forward to seeing you again soon. I wish I could have been there to see you win.
Just want to clarify... That would be first and second place in blue coppers for Albury... That is one hen and one rooster... If she wins eggs in blue copper.. that is the trifecta!!!! Holding my breath.. this is so dang eggciting!!
