So are the 2 on the left of the second photo both very light colored...like a silvery and very light blue? Also, the one on the far right of the first photo looks like it could be a Black Copper....is it Black?
Yes, Bill's chick and the other are lighter blue, but very distinctly blue. The one that appears to be black also has a lot of silver-like strands going through the feathering, so I'm thinking a darker blue? Couldn't believe the markings on Bill's chick, almost wild-like, in shades of blue, black, and cream. I think it's a pullet too!
The one on the far right, standing, in the second pic is the one that looks black in the first pic. What say you Grandma, black or blue??
Bill's chicks never cease to amaze me. He can throw some very light and kinda like you say wild type chicks, but they never grow up with any wild type characteristcs or traits. Poularde has a very light interesting one as well. Can't wait to see more of everyones chicks from Bill as they grow. I'm just as excited to the see the Gnarles kiddos grow up as well, just extra excited to see how the Bill chicks grow up from the particular crosses that have been made.
As far as the blue or black thing.......if there is any chance that any one of them is Bill's or has Bill blood in them then sometimes we are better waiting until we see the first feathers come in. I have a month old Bill boy that I would have thought at hatch would have ended up the lighter blue like Gnarles...........but I was WaaaaAAAYYYYY off now that he is almost fully feathered. He is very very dark blue like his dad.
and has feathered shanks
and has his dad's 5 point comb.
Have you fished out the shells that they hatched from to read them yet?
