Glad you are ok!! Its so heartbreaking seeing all the devastation in Joplin. I know a few people from down around the area but have heard from no one. I just hope these storms decide they want to be done and we can move into milder weather again. They never showed up here how bad the storms are supposed to get in your area tonight...I just heard lots of kansas and oklahoma are going to be affected. I hope tonight's storm stays away from Ivywoods tonight too. That storm is supposed to come all the way up to the bottom few counties in Nebraska.

Thanks guys! Hard to say how bad the coming storms will be, guess it depends on how much cloud cover we have today. If the sun comes out, well, we're looking at a rough night. It's kind of cool and cloudy here now, but as they say here, give it 5 minutes, it'll change. As much as I hate the idea of going underground, I'm thinking about getting some sort of storm shelter built. These storms are getting scarrier by the year, and here at my house, there in nowhere to take shelter. They ought to make it law that all new homes built in tornado alley MUST have a basement or storm shelter! You guys keep an eye to the sky too, it can happen anywhere these days.

I was talking with my mom about that very thing last night...how the weather is more severe than I remember as a kid growing up here. Its gotten pretty unpredictable for sure. I'll be praying for safety lady!

Well, I spoke too soon. The sun is out, the Cicadas are buzzing, and it's going to get hot. Now they are calling for some very strong storms, with tornado possibilities tonight around 9pm. I especially hate it at night! The chooks are all faring well, so far.
