Apparently the bayhorsebonnie BCM line can throw black tailed buff. I got one from some eggs I ordered from her.
I don't see why there couldn't be a such thing as a blue tailed buff if it was coming from blue coppers or blue coppers that had the black coppers mixed in which were carrying those black tailed buff genes, since blue just replaces/dilutes the black. I was told some of these lines that throw the black tailed buffs also carry a wheaten gene. Does your roo have light legs or darker slate?
I also have a barred black tailed buff roo that looks very similar to a golden cuckoo but from a different breeder.
