What town in NE do you live in? My husband travels and goes on I-29 from Iowa to Missouri every other week. Are you near there? I am sure he would LOVE to have a rooster as company, to take to Debbi.

I live between lincoln and omaha just off of I 80 north of a small town called Waverly. It takes me about 40 min or so to get to the Iowa line in council bluffs. Where in Missouri are you? I bet debbi would love the Marans delivery train!

OMG, that is PERFECT! Our hometown is Missouri Valley, Iowa (20 miles from Omaha area). We lived there our whole life, until we bought our retirement home here in Nevada, Missouri. I worked in Omaha and Council Bluffs for many many many many years. Our oldest son lives in our house in Mo. Valley now. DH stops there on his way home every other week.

Debbi, if you are serious and want one of those roosters, I will talk to DH to work something out.

Hey why not? Marans folks got lured into using Pennes, maybe we can lure them into using Marans??

Let me know what you decide. Just PM me, as I don't always check in on this thread.

Exactly why Gnarles is not in the breeding pen anymore. But it's all good....bringin' on the Lil' Bill now. I'm getting trigger finger and sooooo want to turn on one of the small 'bators. I feel my will power slipping away each day when I got outside and see him.

I'll get some pics for you...I'm in a mad rush today cleaning and setting up beds and doing laundry and etc for my brother and his big family coming late tonight from Texas.

The splash boys are a hoot....they are docile and so laid back. I know for sure one of them I will keep, I'm on the fence about the other two. I kept them out of 7 cockerels because they had the best qualities. They all have pretty good combs, two have more leg feathering than the other, but I'm sure we can find one that will work for you. They are all out of Helen Byers stock in Texas and came from nice dark glossy eggs! As soon as I get some pics I'll pop them up here for you to see. Hopefully in the next day or two...that is if I can keep the nieces and nephews from getting underfoot long enough. They are a blast, but they sure are a handful!!

I really hope we can work something out for you Debbi! And thank you Kathyinmo for being willing to help us out! You are awesome!
