Where is everyone this morning??

Vicki, Love Gigantor's coloring! Is he throwing that color to his babies? I notice your BCM hens are as dark as mine!

Gigantor got his name because he's massive and is still a baby. Just turned 5 months old so he still has wads and wads to grow. I've not hatched from him yet as they are just now starting to get curious about the ladies. I don't know if I'll do a fall hatch this year or not. I'm undecided, but I'm hopeful he will indeed throw that color. I do have another boy from a different breeder that is also coming in a dark mahogany and is looking very promising. His comb is not nearly as nice as Gigantor's but his body type is hefty!

The black girl you saw is from my solid blue pen. I'm growing out all the chicks that I hatched out from my first two batches of eggs together. There is quite the mix in there, but I've got a few BCM girls running around in the younger pens. They are coming in with quite the nice coppering finally....I do love my solid colored black tho....she just is kind of the apple of my eye

but seriously it's felt like spring all summer. SOOOO nice to see that ball in the sky!

I'm taking pictures today! I have a boy too that's similar to Gigantor. I think he's really lovely but I really want to know what yall think. He was hatched mid march and he's almost as big as another roo I have that was hatched in January. Hope all is well! I've been making more fondant fun for the What Ya Got Swap.

Yep I think he's a Jean/Presley cross. I'd have to ask the breeder I got him from. I've also got my new chicks that are 1-2 weeks old and there are a few HUNKY boys in there for sure! They're straight Wade Jean I think.

nice! I really like watching chunkers grow out. They are like little turkeys running around!

I have an 18-week old...I can't believe she'll start to lay within the next few months!! It feels like forever but they grow up so fast at the same time. Most of her tail feathers have fallen out and the coppering is slowly coming in. She also has a couple white feet feathers - it's like they got bleached. Has this happened to anyone else's here?
