I was just out putting fresh water in the pens again and while its warm, it is not too hot with the breeze, so I might be able to get some pics of some of my other chicks growing out. I need to do some culling today as well. And weeding, and mowing, and harvesting of veggies, and trim some trees and about 85 other things. We'll see how much I get done, but I want to make time to sort a few birds for sure.

Did it appear like that with your web site link on it? That, I would not consider stealing, they are giving you the credit for the birds, plus free advertising. As long as the picture is acknowledged with the proper owner, that falls more within the lines of borrowing.

It's always best to ask permission of the owner first, and really, is only common courtesy. What these folks did was steal a pic, and claimed the roo pictured was theirs! Now, THAT'S STEALING!

well...made some progress this afternoon...hoping after dinner it will have cooled down enough to mess with some birds and snap a few photos. Got a quick question tho about combs. Does anyone have experience with whether birds with a floppy type comb will pass it on to their offspring? I have a BCM pullet that is coming along nicely, but her comb is already starting to do a bit of a lazy lean to one side. Is there a difference between whether it is a cockerel that has it or whether a pullet has it and pretty much any solid info would be great as I haven't heard much about it.

no nothing with my logo just the picture , it would of been kinda neet if it did , i do have a web site and all but sell very very few eggs mainly i sell a few birds froim time to time at local paper called valley trader This chicken venture is mainly like a lemon aid stand for the elderly even though 50 is not elderly but it would be creepy if I had a lemon aid stand , im kinda stuck between to old and to young lol . don’t get me wrong I am totally serious
about wheaten marans and doing it right and learning as much as i can

I kinda wondered about that....she is laying, I've just been going back and forth on her because of it since it hadn't shown til this last week. She's been laying for right around 3 weeks now I think...maybe a bit longer... yarg. Decisions, decisions....

well...fooey...might have to migrate her to the layer pen then. I really like her except for this recent comb change.

Well Randy, I guess they figured there wasn't much you could do with them being in Australia? I think I would've told them about it, and asked them to place the web site link or at least name you as the owner in the picture. I guess common courtesy just isn't so common any more...anywhere.

well...fooey...might have to migrate her to the layer pen then. I really like her except for this recent comb change.

It may be the hot weather too. I have noticed my girls are floppier right now, except for one. That said, they are the girls with the big combs. Pink's 2 girls still have tiny, neat combs.
