Hungry-Man! and if we had the "regular" kind we would save the trays to make Santas' with in school!

Yup, Salsbury Steak, eaten on a TV table! How hip were we??

now see...I think that is freaking awesome! I wish I learned that way...maybe I would have paid better attention. Wait...maybe I was just bored...my grandma had taught me how to write and was well on my way to learning cursive by the time I went to kindergarten...I was bored there too...in all honesty...I got sick of the whiny kids and all I wanted to do is go play outside. I used to try to sneak baby animals in my backpack to take to school with me. My parents got wise to that pretty quick when one of the runt baby pygmy's was missing from their little carrier....

I figured if I had to be stuck inside...at least let me have something fun to play with

Nope, no lie here. No whether it was the times, or my antiquated teacher that insisted, I have no clue. But that's the way I learned to use a "pen" and cursive.

my oldest brother learned that same way and he is only 7 years older than me. He went to a one room school house until he was in 6th grade.

I had a trap line that I would check early in the morning before school. I was too small to carry a gun, so when I caught a skunk (we had lots of skunks back then) I would have to dispach it with a stick. No time to change clothes before school.....funny thing, no matter what grades I got, I was always promoted to the next grade (and a different teacher).

Had to be the teacher. Those desks with ink wells are like from the early 1900's and I KNOW you are not that old, cuz you know how to use a computer and change your monitor when it dies

that's one of the funniest things I think I've read in a long time! At least you didn't take it with you to school in your backpack!!
