Im getting pretty worried... well for this egg its only 22nd day but He is the only one living im pretty sure. and when i grabbed him out of the water I could feel him moving around. I found out this morning that my hygrometer is broken

Ive kept the humidity up reguardless but im wondering if i dont have shrink wrapped chicks in all these eggs.

I'm sending all sorts of good hatching vibes for that little chick of yours!!!

I hate when incubation equipment decides to crap out at the most critical time. I had the bearings in my fan go out last year on the day of hatch...it screeched the entire incubator to a halt...that was devastating. I had eggs in there I was dying to see hatch.

Luckily we all survive the crappy hatches. And there's always more eggies to pop in there...of course when no one is looking...haha

It will be sad if you hatch out one lone chick but I guess better than none...you will have to give it a stuffed animal friend or get another chick for him. They are so funny they get really attatched to thier stuffed animals if that is all they have.
Here's Cheepa (my darkest layer) when she was a baby. She was born a runt and a late late hatcher. My bator temps were running too low and I didn't realize it at the time. I had her by herself for awhile till she got strong enough not to get trampled lol. Once she got better, I put her and her bear in with the others. She played king of the bear and wouldn't let any of the others near it or she would squawk and carry on and try to peck them lol.

Have a nice day pink chick!

That poor little black chick was really shrink wrapped... mid zip hence all the yucky on its back I dont think he had completely absorbed its yoke cause it was a messy hatch. The blue chick was born like 10hrs after the black and it is Huge and beautiful

I always swore I'd rather get none than one, ever again! Pip had a bear too...until he pecked it's eyes out and beat the tar out of it!

That should've told me something right there! Since then, I did have another lone hatch, but it was a pullet. I luckily had some younger chicks that I assimilated her with, even though they bullied her. Solo held her own and is now with the flock. Pip, still doesn't see himself as a chicken...
