Picking a bird with the wrong leg color had nothing to do with an outdated SOP description. He just didn't know what they were supposed to be cuz he didn't have a Marans Standard. It was published in the APA newsletter and the only change to the description since then is the description of the female breast color. The APA took that description directly from the Marans website, so I am not sure why they had the wrong description up, but they did. They have the correct description up now, so it is a good idea to print it to show the judge before judging.

OK, I have to ask--what are you using for leg bands in those photos? I've been using the standard leg bands, and I hate hate hate them.

Here are some Faults/DQ's

It's Reader (normal comb) and Reader Jr (Jr being the coronation comb)

Comb issues, color issues...

The water was just ducked- it's clean again... sorry...

Blagh - these are no good for anybody's program!!!
