Cool looking chicks. I to see a little brown tinges but I will leave that to the veterans of this boards to tell us if that gets worst or hopefully could fade????
Regarding, the little pooper...I think he/she is telling what she thinks of you taking her photo
Sure is a quiet Sunday night in here. I was gonna get some photos today of a few of my birds, but as I was trying to get my first shot, my camera battery went dead. I really should just know to charge it once a week with how often I use it. I was wanting to get a couple of photos of gigantor's growth. I think he's changed so dramatically! He's still doing a bit of molting in his tail and such, but he doesn't look nearly as bad as he did a couple of weeks ago.
Oh...and Kim!....I've been having birchen chickie day dreams all day! I can't wait til SPRING!!!
ok - here are 2 of my babies - please let me know how I'm doing!!
This is my first generation, so PLEASE let me know if I'm on the right track and what needs improvement (or needs culling!!)
This little lady has feathers all the way down to toenail.
This is the BCM boy has feathers down to the toenail, but also has a couple feathers on the middle toe (this is the boy I was asking about)
comb is nice and flat - no thumb prints or waves that I can see so far.
Here's the big feather on the right foot and 2 little feathers on the left foot
I'm lovin the girl, the boy... he's got some hairy legs!
Also, I see some kind of barring, or some light color leaking on his chest.
Let's wait for the gang to chime in.
Just checked your profile, I could probably get you some extra boys,
I have too many blue coppers right now, they need a better place to than Izzy's.
He eats them
I'm still the rookie, but that boy...something tells me he isn't pure Marans...
I will get some pics of the overstock boys.
It's getting pretty hormonal in the yard, and I rather give them away to someone who'll appreciate them.
Are you going to the Poultry Congress show next month?
It's in W. Springfield, Mass Jan 14-15.
Or, my roomie is by Perth Amboy, NJ. A diehard peep, if you want to arrange a chicken train, I'm sure she'd be willing.
