Marans Thread - breed discussion & pictures are welcome!

What color do you think that first egg is? Its pretty true to color in that photo...I took a ton with different lights and with and without flash and that is pretty darn close to what I see when I look at it with my eye. Somewhere between 6 and 7 is where I am thinkin!

I doubt it! These are the WORST cat mamas I have ever seen! They drop their babies all over the place, out in the open. Not too many cats here survive. Between the hawks, coyotes, poor mamas and the occaisional school bus, it's a wonder I have any...

haha...yeah, I am glad I finally broke down and bought one. I use it for all my prehatch photos for reference. That way I can see at a glance what I set and etc.

Yeah, I was thinking about different options I have, and am thinking that might be the best way to go...now I just need to decide if I will stack them or put them side by side. I'm leaning towards stacking them...that way if I need to move them through a door way or etc I can do so without too much trouble...just roll and go!
