up to 9 chickers now. I have a blue cuckoo cockerel that has the most fantastic leg feathering, on legs that are just enormous!!!I'm holding out hope on hope for some of your eggs! You know what I like!!...and what I sure don't like!

Cool! How many eggs made it to lockdown?? Love the street sweepers for sure!!up to 9 chickers now. I have a blue cuckoo cockerel that has the most fantastic leg feathering, on legs that are just enormous!!!He is just a beast and a half!!
40 eggs went to lockdown. 9 are out, at least another dozen pipped and a couple zipped and not far from hatchin!!! Its goin really well, esp since its only about an hour into day 21!
I'm so excited and can hardly contain myself. I want to open the incubator so bad!

Got some birchens need Help with Breeding Genetics
Hey all, been a long time . I hatched some Marans eggs about 6 weeks ago , They look like Birchens. I was hoping for BCM , but I can't complain to much , I spent few min. fixing a incubator for the eggs , and she normally gets $100.00 per Doz. Anyway I can tell they are fine stock Perfect Combs developing in the 2 Cock's and Heavy shank feathering on all . Her marans win 1st in show every year at the Fair . My Question is what to do with them , I have 2 Blue copper Boy's , Looks like 2 Birchen Boy's and and 3 Birchen hens what will I get if I cross the Blue Coppers with the Birchen any chance to get back to BCM down the road a few Gen. LOL.or maybe I should just be Happy with the Birchens , the Eggs were 7-8 color range Nice shape large and very dark. What do you all feel about the Birchen color?

haha..no worries! Those chickies are hatching so well that I won't be touching it! Now that I can watch them hatching I feel so much better! By the way....gonna be up to 11 chicks here in a couple of min. They are starting to pop like crazy now! a bit over a 1/4 of the way done now
So great! What were your settings for this hatch and incubation??
for the incubator the first 18 days I ran with 25 to 30% humidity, then in the hatcher I've had the humidity at 60% with the regular 99.5 temps
