So - what is spiral breeding?
Vicki - the only other boy I have is the Bryant roo!
Don - for someone starting out with a variety of birds, this year being my F1, is it still possible to make adequate progress, as long as I line breed thereafter?
Does this then suggest we should cull down to our best two pairs and start from there?
Hi math, sorry, haven't been online for a while, no, the guy i was talking about was on the right, about halfway down past the sale birds
So if you had a group of chicks from the same hatch and a couple of the cockerels had comb issues- 1 with caranation comb of some form and 1 with a wave in the beginning of the comb both of which would be culled, would you still take a chance and mate the ones left together, which would be 2 pair and see what develops?

Lisa, Did you try one of the Marans' clubs breeder's directories? Maybe he is in there?? That sure was a lovely hen!
I tried the MCCUSA directory and the MOA directory and didn't see him,do you know if he perhaps goes by a farm name as well? some are listed as farm names....?I am not a memberand did not see a breeder's directory on the home page.![]()
Would you check for me OR send me a link to the page that has the directory on it ? ? ?
