Wow Kim, that's odd and neat all at the same time! I had heard of the term "ghost barring" before, but wasn't sure what it was, thanks Vicki. As for the white feather, see how easy it came out? Don't ya wish you could do that with the combs??

I know I do! All 3 of my big boys here are strutting around with one, big, white sickle feather! Usually, they molt those out within 2 weeks or so, but noooo, these things are hanging on like a proud banner. All the birds here are in various stages of molt, most are coming out of it, and a few are just starting. I think a lot of this has to do with the weird weather we had this winter and now. Bad Charlotte has yet to start! She is so stubborn, and did her bad thing again last night, being the last one in. I figured out why; she is awaiting the roosting of Mr. Pekkar, who will jump her as soon as she hits the run. Funny thing is, he doesn't go to roost, he goes to the backside of the coop and waits for her. Once she enters the run, he comes tearing around the side in a dead run. Poor Charlotte doesn't even try to run any more, she just squats, and waits for the inevitable... The odd thing is, he is the only roo she has ever done this for; I think it's Blue chicken love!

mornin Debbi....not gonna lie....I'm takin a lazy mornin...
Got sunny weather down there today?

Good morning! Nothing wrong with that lady, we all need some days to just smell the roses, so to speak! Sun is shining, and so far, no wind. Getting into the 70s!! Still waiting for the yard to dry up. I had standing water in the grassy areas as of yesterday. Hope it finally dries up today. The grass and weeds have grown up again, time for a second mow...in MARCH???

It still beats winter!

Roo Number 1 is in the first pic alone and the second shot with a pullet.

Roo number two(Tom) is alone in the 3rd pic and to the left of the Blue Orp in the last pic (roo number 1 is also in the back of last pic)

Just running by on my way to chores (I took a late morning, too, Vicki! I read in bed for a couple hours - nice!!)

Pink - I think that coloring is really pretty! (though, I know you don't desire it!!)

My hatcher is a Dickey and I'm using little hot dog baskets (turned upside down)....so.....I think I need a new plan!
