I have a girl that's laying an egg that's rounded on both ends and they are close enough that I can't distinguish which end would have the air pocket. There is one end that is darker, so is that the air pocket end?

Get the Brinsea high intensity candler. You will be looking for the lighter end.

Do you think that you might be able to tell if they are candles...or are they too dark?

Apparently I had a big DUH! moment. Candled and was able to tell. Thanks to both of ya!

With the fbcm egg I hatched, I could see veining with the Brinsea.

I have a small LED flashlight that has worked for me so far. If I have any that get very much darker I won't be able to use it, tho.

Well I thought I had the egg right side up in the sportsman

when I candled at 10 days hummmmm I had it upside down oh well I turned the right side up and it hatched none the worse I'll be watching for a chick standing on it's head

Well my broodiest hatched me some babies. Not sure how many but I am thinking 8 maybe.
Me I had 61 so far and still have pips so maybe more tomorrow.

I am without a computer and am using a smart phone..... kinda like if but I would have a REALLY bad neck if I did this much.
