Donna, how old are these pullets with the black skin? Olivia here had an almost fully black comb and wattles until she hit around 10 months, then they started to turn red. They are all red now, at around 14 months? She is do big and puffy, I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, glad I did!!

Holy cow!! Any thoughts I ever had about moving back to the east coast just went out the window! What kind of dog is it with rear dew claws?? Don't you cut them off at birth? I used to remove the front dew claws on my Dobe pups right after they were born, or even at a day old. Snip, styptic, done, free.

Dogs, cats, HORSES are the worst! I had to give up my shots, I could not tolerate them any more. They go up on your dose till you can take it any more.....

I told hubby to make sure if I every get snake bit to tell them I am ALLERGIC TO HORSES! they use that in the anti - venom.

I seriously doubt I will ever move anywhere again. But I have learned, never to say never! As much as I have moved in my lifetime, the thought of it makes me gag. It's peaceful here, and unless I win the lottery, I'll probably just die here. Just stuff me and set me in my chair on the deck, so I can watch my chooks for eternity!

No I don't need anymore battles. I will have to look over the other pullets too.... pretty sure I only saw one today. So that might be a good sign. There may be 2 hens with the gypsy thing..... less to feed over the winter..... I might have 2 Marans Roos without girls over the winter.....

They will survive till I grow up some pullets for them.

The MAMA's have the gypsy face too and they are maybe about a year old now IDK really, but close to that. See we all learned something didn't we? This is the first I heard about this being a BAD thing. I knew I didn't like the LOOK.

The pullet I originally mentioned is about 3 months.

IF you are likely to be bitten, perhaps you would want to wear a bracelet with your allergies.

I'm somewhat allergic to horses and chickens. I try to manage it. I'm off the flonase for the summer, my skin gets thin. Like I can run a farm with thin skin. LOL Eyes get very itchy--loratadine to the rescue. Funny how I can eat chicken and not have an issue but the dander seems to be the problem.
