For us we have to have all our birds 4 months of age and older tested on a yearly basis, we contact a ceritified tester and they tell us what it costs for them to come and test- so we pay our tester directly. They fill out the correct forms and we send them into the state with whatever fees are needed. We aren't NPIP at this point as the kids only show in state but our person who tests for us is and they test yearly too. From time to time they have a state inspector show up to do a walk through.

well...sounds like we have a nice size fire going here in north central Nebraska. I hope they get it under control soon. Forecast says 105 today, who knows what the heat index will be. I haven't lost any birds yet, but have a hen acting kind of funny. Gave her some electrolytes and heading out with some cut up watermelon and do another round of water changing and putting frozen water bottles in the pans. I sure hope everyone makes it.

Hi All, I'm looking for some input. The same cockerel in the the first two photos- his backend was up-wind so his tailfeathers are held way high. I am looking more for color/marking input- he is 4 months old. Same with the pullet, 4 months old, I have some pullets with more copper and some with less. Thanks for all your input.

And our Saturday project, just in time! Finally remembered to slant the roof so they don't perch on it. The original needs modifying because of that not so small issue!

They're nice looking birds, on mine, the hackle feathers and saddle feathers are different shades
