Quote: I need to sell some more chickens, lots more so I can get my copy... that is on my wish list. I got my SOP and that is my next book. Got a college BIO book and read up so not I feel informed enough I can understand it better..... but alas not money to spend on the book yet.

So, we just had the best development happen yesterday! A local kid that made some stupid choices is working off his community service hours and a friend called to see if we would have some work for him since with everything with my dad's health has been so taxing. He just left from his first day working here and between him and I working, we got tons of stuff done and he's planning on coming back tomorrow morning and we'll schedule for some more time this week. I am soooo thankful for a bit of extra help, plus he's a respectful kid, so that helps.

I moved a bunch more of my birds this morning and will try to start working on photos over the next few days, we'll see how it goes.

Help with chores is always a good thing. Glad to see that you got some help!

haha...I have NO idea! A friend of my parents called to see if we had stuff for this kid to do. He is the best friend of her grandson and thought we might have more work since he did everything he could at hers. I am soooo grateful. In working alongside him today, he really is a great kid, very down to earth and even tho we were all disgusting after trimming trees, cutting weeds and hauling stuff, he seemed like he enjoyed it. I think he still has somewhere around 65 hours of community service left, so think he will probably come back a few more times at least.

Quote: Good for you! We need a couple of them.... well ten would be good too. LOL 65 acres of fallen trees and 6ft tall grass (not now hubby got it all cut today) I might could get the garden spot cleared from 2 years ago

and maybe ready for another planting next year.... well as much as you can do anyway.... like add PILES of chicken manure to the garden.

I hear ya....it adds up so fast and before long is way more than you know what to do with. This kid expressed interest in helping to till the garden up for me since I didn't use most of it this year because I just couldn't find time. I will be doing a fall garden tho, I need to stress reliever with everything I've got on my plate and am determined to cut some of my costs for winter. Only catch is that I'll probably have to water the garden overnight so the ground will be soft enough to even think about tilling.
