I LOVE MONTANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Somewhere up in the mountains with snowmobile access only would be great for me but DH seems to think we should atleast have decent year round driveable access. No fun!

Marans people, Has anyone seen or heard of anyone with good White Marans with feathered feet. Last year I lost both of the young males I raised and have been unable to locate another male or good Marans eggs. If we could find a source for the White they would be one of the easiest Color varietys to work and they also look very good.

If anyone would like to see some Wheaten Marans young males without the white tail Coverts go to the wheaten Marans thread and look at some very nice wheatens.

Hello marans peeps! I am pages behind on this thread. The ameraucana thread as been hopping and takes all my time to keep up with the drama.

Look what I got in the mail today!! No more plucking by hand for me.




Now I am ready to cull all my marans cockerels. lol! Just had to share with someone.

I got it from Coops n More for about 350.00. Had to wait 4 weeks for delivery cuz it is so heavy it would have cost 200 to get it UPS.

Colorado is SPECTACULAR as well.......little town called Ouray that holds a very special place in my heart.


Donna~ Look into a product called Schluter Ditra and Schluter Kerdi Fabric.......this product is the best thing for waterproofing tile showers and walls. The Kerdi fabric is used on the walls and the Ditra is used on the floor. It's da bomb! If you look it up and have any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for the reminder! I saw that home repair guy in Canada use that stuff on the floor. Love him... what a heart he has.

Don~ There used to be a breeder of Whites in California. As I understand it she had some nice birds. I will see if I can get you her name. I too have thought about the Whites, I just love the way they look.
