Hi everybody!

Becky and

everybody!

I love doing tile...my absolute favorite!!!!! The one thing I will miss the most about closing our costruction and remodeling business...all the custom tile and stone work, but that chapter of our lives is finished and now we can start new one.
We are going to put our place up for sale and move on.....no clue where we will end up and no clue what we will be doing, but that is the fun of writing a new chapter.
It's also one of the reasons I have downsized birds so drastically, will only be taking my Marans and geese with me. Been tossing Montana and Colorado around very heavily in our conversations. I vote for Montana.......they need more Marans.

I vote either! Then I can come visit! Montana is one of my absolute favorite places in this whole world (used to go up there every year when I was younger) and colorado is close to me! Yay!!

Exciting! do keep us updated. I liked Colorado the few days I was there. I know nothing about Montana.

I like designing the tile and seeing it come together like I though. The bath was small, but grouting is a LONG job with the cleaning. The next room is the main bath. Tile all over in there. Floor, shower and all the walls. It will cut down on the painting, I hate trim painting

Then it is just painting and flooring (might hire that job). I think I will only do one or 2 sections of grout a day to keep it manageable. Then we can move. Maybe in the next 2 years we can start our NEW house at the farm. I could get soooo much more done if the birds were right out the back door.

Mornin ladies!

The rains slowing down a little bit, but hopefully will continue off and on thru today and tomorrow, its rained at least a half an hour so far. More than we've gotten since before May.

I tried catching up that sussex/marans cross again to get photos, but no luck. You would really like him I think Kim. He's a stunning little bird. I have been thinking I might continue making the crosses if they prove to be great meat birds like I think they will be and might play around with the birchen pattern too on them just cause I love the color. Maybe I shall dub them Surans or Marssex.

Other photos of birds I had planned today will also have to wait. They are looking like drowned rats as everyone is loving the rain right now!

I LOVE MONTANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Somewhere up in the mountains with snowmobile access only would be great for me but DH seems to think we should atleast have decent year round driveable access. No fun!

Colorado is SPECTACULAR as well.......little town called Ouray that holds a very special place in my heart.

Donna~ Look into a product called Schluter Ditra and Schluter Kerdi Fabric.......this product is the best thing for waterproofing tile showers and walls. The Kerdi fabric is used on the walls and the Ditra is used on the floor. It's da bomb! If you look it up and have any questions feel free to ask.

Vicki~ I bet they are huge!

Hey did ya'll see that photo of the Wheatens roo that someone got from Sandhill that was posted a couple pages back? He sure looked like he had some Birchen in him or something. Can Birchen express over Wheaten if it is in the genetics of a Wheaten flock?

I'm not sure what that was, you were talking the red boy with the white in the neck right? I was thinking more somewhere in a salmon family, but that's just from what I remember in seeing crosses of Old English colors.
