Mine have that too. THey are Davis line chicks.
I fully expect it to molt out as they grow. Afterall, my RIR cockerel had barred wings as a chicky, and now he's solid red and handsome!
I know it's not the best pic, but you can see on the black chicks they have white on the edge of their wings too.
Morning Everyone! Geesh this thread moves fast. Gone overnight and you guys are burnin' it up!!!!!!!!!!
Geebs~ Nice Eggs!!!!!!!!
Drom~ Are you going to test that new 'bator out with us again?
How come when you put a chick down that is suffering it makes you feel like pooh? No matter how many times I have to do it, I still bawl like a baby. I don't know how I'm going to make it through with the lonely little gosling that has a severely twisted neck. Argh!
Sorry done whining now.........just hate this part of it.
Oh and I have a boatload of fresh babies this morning... (I had one naughty hen though... She must have gotten a booty call with my BLRW... (never saw her in the wrong pen)... I will have to check it out... Got some cute fluffies out of the deal but they are NOT the right color!!! (super cute)... I will post after they are fluffy ...(tomarrow)

Awesome! You didn't worry about the humidity at all? I'm petrified to even try! I've been trying to get my lil hova up to 55% and I can't keep it steady!
You guys go ahead. I might set some more eggs. I've got them saved. I just want to make sure I will be able to place all my cockerels from this hatch. I have 4 roosters now and can't have any more. I haven't figured out how I am going place these little guys yet.
