One of the first sets of shipped eggs I successfully hatched were TJ's Mille Fleur D'Uccle, Silver and Gold Sebrights and bantam EEs. Of the 24 Mille Fleur eggs they sent, 22 hatched. I can't remember the split on roos/hens. I even got 1 golden D'Uccle in the mix. The Sebrights, I got 3 gold, and 3 silver, 5 turned out to be roos. I kept the lone Silver Sebright, the Golden D'uccle, 2 bantam EE and 2 of the Mille Fleur .
But, now in one incubator, I have bantam EEs, sebright and serama eggs on day 17 (all from TJChickens) and in the Easter HAL batch I have Golden Sebright plus some Porcelain and Mille Fleur D'uccles. Again, from TJChickens. I admit I also have some Olive Eggers from GardenWren on day 17 as well. So, I'm not hatching all bantams....
But, I think the best hatch percentages I get are from TJ's eggs, and they are the EASIEST birds to sell.
All but 1 of the Mille Fleur, which insists on living with the big girls, live in covered runs. Runs and coops all need to expand with this new babies coming in.
In my hatching bator right now, I have 3 chicks - 2 speckled Sussex (I think) and one of my silkies. LOTS of pips. It should be a busy night!
