March 2017! Hatch with us!

Surprisingly, this one lets me pet her (which she never did before she went broody last year!) She will vehemently defend her chicks, but she seems to trust me, and only me.

Since its a little slow this morning, and who doesn't love chick pics, I'll share some of my favorite shots from last summer:
This has to be one of the cutest photos I've ever seen!!!!!!

These are not part of the super-cute chick series. These are "What's up with the huge feet??" pics. Here are two just-hatched Easter Eggers. The fluffy black/grey one is Amy. The damp one is Beth, or perhaps I should call her Sasquatch.

Beth karate-kicked out of the egg with lightning speed, courtesy of those enormous feet. How can this be? The chick is not bigger, just the feet. Can you see this, too? They almost look swollen. Should I be concerned?

Aw, thanks! One of my favorites too. I wished I had taken it landscape because the portrait version wasn't acceptable for the calendar this year. :(
Does this compete maybe???
Definitely adorable too! :love
